Electrical Contracts Manager

Based at our Cumbernauld office we have a vacancy for the following full time position managing day to day a variety of electrical contracts, mainly working with large volume housebuilders.

Principal role and responsibilities:-

  • Organising and supervising operatives, ensuring customer and quality targets are maintained
  • Ensuring H&S requirements are met on site
  • Recruiting and motivating operatives
  • Controlling costs and ensuring projects remain within budget
  • Liaising with Client team members on site and developing good working relationships
  • Requisitioning materials
  • Controlling, planning and recording variations
  • Liaising with quantity surveyor to provide information for valuation purposes

Skills / qualifications needed for this role:-

  • A qualified electrician, with at least 5 years post qualification experience at grade “Approved Electrician” or above
  • Recent experience in contracts supervisor / manager’s role in similar environment
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • A thorough working knowledge of BS 7671 the IET Wiring Regulations, NHBC standards and new build housing site working procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good man-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
